Another fantasy adventure is stepping into the anime spotlight. The hit light novel series Towa: The World’s Strongest Rearguard – Labyrinth Country’s Novice Seeker will be receiving a TV anime adaptation, officially announced on September 8, 2025.

Story Synopsis

Written by Towa and illustrated by Huuka Kazabana, the series follows the story of Ares, an office worker who suddenly finds himself reincarnated in a dangerous labyrinth world. Unlike typical heroes, Ares awakens as a Rearguard, a support role considered weak and unimportant compared to warriors or mages.

But Ares soon discovers his class hides overwhelming potential. By mastering survival, support magic, and clever strategy, he turns what others see as weakness into unparalleled strength. Alongside a band of unlikely allies, he sets out to uncover the labyrinth’s mysteries, challenging assumptions about what it means to be a hero.
