Yukiharu Izumi dreams of a normal high school life, but fate has other plans. Homeless and desperate, he begs for help—only to find refuge among shape-shifting cats. These powerful feline beings offer him shelter… on one condition: he must serve them as their personal manservant. Thus begins Yukiharu’s chaotic daily life among the mysterious catlords.
Originally serialized in G Fantasy from October 2019 to April 2021, Rat Kitaguni’s manga wrapped at four volumes. Yen Press released the fourth English volume in May 2023.
Betrothed to a Fox Demon
For a thousand years, the Kyougane Clan has been renowned as a bloodline of fierce exorcists. Now led by the cold yet determined Kyougane Kurou, the clan faces a turning point when Kurou is presented with a mysterious bride harboring a dangerous secret. Determined to protect their bond, Kurou must defy fate and ancient curses to safeguard their future.
Anju Hino launched the series in Gangan Joker in January 2024, with the third volume released on May 22, 2025. The author previously gained recognition for ECHIGOBAKUFU—adapted into a 2022 anime—and contributed art to My Unexpected Marriage.
Character Summaries
Yukiharu Izumi – Protagonist of I’m the Catlords’ Manservant. A kind-hearted but downtrodden teen who stumbles into servitude under a family of shape-shifting cats. His earnest attempts to regain normalcy provide much of the manga’s humor and heart.
Kyougane Kurou – Head of the Kyougane Clan in Betrothed to a Fox Demon. A stoic and sharp-tongued exorcist who confronts his clan’s ancient prejudices in order to protect his enigmatic bride from forces that seek to tear them apart.
